Welcome
Enhancing Youth Transition Services Across Kansas
The Kansas Youth Transition Network (KYTN) is a statewide project working to improve outcomes for transition-age youth with disabilities as they prepare to transition from high school to employment, post-secondary education, and community-based living.
KYTN establishes local networks, called KYTN Councils. KYTN Councils consist of youth with disabilities, family members, youth service organizations, schools, community organizations, and employers. Together, we are working to expand and improve the transition service system in Kansas.
We believe that every young person with a disability deserves the opportunity to thrive in their community, explore meaningful careers, and lead an independent life.
What do we do?
- We help communities map out local resources and identify gaps
- We support communities in building lasting local KYTN Councils
- We prioritize youth and family leadership in everything we do
- We evaluate what works, and help it grow!
